Dr. Roma Pastershank
General Dentist
Originally from Saskatchewan, Dr Roma has spent the last 29 years practicing dentistry in Calgary. In July 2020, Dr Roma and her husband, Dean, relocated to the Comox Valley when Dean retired.
Dr Bill and Dr Roma became friends while attending various Continuing Education programs together.
Dr Roma has a broad range of dental training and knowledge. She has completed programs in complicated restorative dentistry (including the Kois Institute), oral surgery, implant dentistry, TMJ and chronic pain medicine.
Dr Roma is a kind and thoughtful practitioner, who treats her patients with honor and respect. You will leave your appointment feeling confident that your dental care is of the utmost importance to Dr Roma.
Dr Rustin Abdurahman
General Dentist
Dr Rustin graduated from SFU with a degree in Kinesiology before joining the dental program at UBC. After graduating in 1995, he and his wife settled in Nanaimo, where he operated his own practice for 28 years.
Dr Rustin is a life-long-learner and has participated in many study clubs and courses, covering a wide range of topics, including endodontics, surgery and implant placement. His most impactful continuing education experience was with the Spear Education Facility. “Dr Frank Spear and Spear Education are world class. My experience there elevated my diagnostic and clinical skills to a level which allows me to treat even the most challenging cases with confidence”.
Dr Rustin also co-mentored the Nanaimo Study Club, where he was able to share his passion for dentistry with his peers.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Rustin enjoys kiteboarding, surfing and mountain biking – a perfect match for the Comox Valley !!
